Well hello there!
So happy for you to join us for whatever reason! No judgement! Perhaps you thought to yourself:
“Damn, I’ve never considered why caring about women should be worth it.”
Or maybe, you just need need to refresh the old information rolodex? Most likely you’re here because you’re thinking “I f*cking can’t believe we are still having this motherf*cking conversation.”
For whatever reason. WELCOME!
I would love to keep this discussion open, easy going and most of all tolerant. So if you’re joining us because you already hate women I encourage you to close your eyes and imagine being squeeeeezzzeeedddd out of a vagina. Everything you are and everything you will be is because your mother covered you in vaginal flora at birth. So much flora! So much vagina! Let’s just go ahead and call it the bacteria that it is. The good kind! A LOT OF IT. So much.
If you’re thinking - “HA! I got you Allana Harkin! I was born by c-section and not via a vaginal canal so my hatred is safe!” Well, I just found this on the internet via the well-respected Nature journal so please think of it often and wonder…did this happen?
“Feeding a baby born by caesarean section milk containing a tiny bit of their mother’s poo introduces beneficial microbes to their gut, according to a clinical trial. The approach might one day help to prevent diseases during childhood and later in life*”
(*Please always consult with your doctor. Also no, worries because you’re still covered in your mother’s skin and all that good stuff anyway.”)
I don’t know your story, but here’s what I know for sure:
There isn’t a single human in the history of time who didn’t come into contact with Lady Juice for survival. You are who you are because of a woman.
I get it. It’s all incredibly intimidating! Women are the star athletes in creating life who, despite being massively underpaid, keep coming back year after year because of the love of the game. I mean look at you! You’re amazing and gorgeous. You have eyeballs and a nose for breathing and food tastes delicious. And that’s all because you were squeezed through a vagina and covered in your mother’s vaginal fluid. Just wanted to remind you if you forgot.
Look, we don’t mind that the making of the entire human race is on our shoulders but we’d just like you to not hate us for doing it. Does that seem fair? We’d like a little bit of equality and when there’s legislation introduced to completely strip away our rights we’d love to see more than just women in the comments. Ya know?
So here’s a hot list of Why Caring About Women Should Be Worth It:
Because It’s like asking if oxygen is necessary or if wind is real.
Don’t be a dick.
It’s a short list.
Happy International Women’s Day! Go do something nice for a woman. If you’re considering a gift then please buy it from a company who has kept there DEI initiatives in place. Never underestimate the power of a bag of avocados from a company who didn’t roll back their parental leave policies.
We are in a battle for our lives ladies…so never forget we make all the lives.
Yours in Lady Juice,
xoAllana
